What Investment Magazine & self-promotional
The 100 numerals were done for the front cover of What Investment magazine (one of a number I painted for them) to 'celebrate' the top 100 companies of the year and when my agent asked me for an image to promote myself and the agency I created the batsman fairly easily as I had been working on several humourous sports books at the time (including Tim Brooke-Taylor's Cricket Box). The print studio married the images together, so this painting doesn't actually exist as such.
